Golden Beet, Orange, Mango, Nectarine, Carrot, Spinach and Turmeric Juice.
Golden Beet w/ citrus is one of my favorite pairings in juice. This time around I decided to up the level of greens by adding spinach and mixing in Turmeric as well. I haven’t seen much fresh Turmeric around (grab some if you find; great stuff!). I buy Organic Turmeric powder in bulk from Mountain Rose Herbs. I pretty much use it everyday…in food, juices and Golden Milk (which is another awesome treat that I will post about another time). Turmeric is an extremely important root and the health benefits of it are fairly shocking when you take a look at the research. It’s known to relieve arthritis and joint pain, help control diabetes, reduce cholesterol, boost the immune system, heal skin wounds (when rubbed on cuts), promote weight control, prevent alzheimer’s disease, improve digestion, prevent liver disease…and drumroll please…help prevent certain types of cancer and existing tumor growth. All that said, more Turmeric in your daily diet could only benefit you. Prevention, not Reaction!
1 large Golden Beet (w/ Beet Greens)
3 large Carrots
1 handful of Baby Spinach
4 tsp of Turmeric Powder
Wash and prep the Beetroot, greens, fruits and veggies. Juice all with your Juice Extractor (doesn’t really matter what order). Once all of it has been juiced, add the Turmeric into the juice and stir lightly with a whisk. Enjoy!
