Purple Passion!

Red Beet, Purple Carrot, Red Grapes, Fuji Apple, Celery, Swiss Chard and Lemon

Most of my juicing up until now has consisted of Green, Red, Yellow and Orange colors. I very rarely remember to do Purples. I was at the market the other day and saw these nice Organic grapes so I got them with the plan to juice them. When I got home, I thought “what would go good with grapes?”. That’s when I came up with this Purple Passion juice. It is a nice smooth, sweet juice that plays off of the celery for a little “salty” and the lemon for a little “zesty”. Very well balanced flavors if I do say so myself! This recipe will yield about 25-30 oz of juice.

1 Red Beet (with greens if you have them)
2 Purple Carrots (nubs chopped off, with greens if you have them)
1 large handful of seedless Red Grapes
1 Fuji Apple (or any Red Apple variety)
2 Stalks of Celery (with greens if you have them)
5 leaves of Swiss Chard
1 small Lemon (or half of a large)

Wash all ingredients well and prep for juicing. Juice all in your Juice Extractor. CLEAN YOUR JUICER AND AREA BEFORE DRINKING. Enjoy!
