Almonds For Daze!

ALMOND MILK, ALMOND PULP, BANANA, MANGO, PAPAYA, GOJI BERRIES, COCONUT OIL, VEGA PROTEIN, MACA POWDER, CHIA and FLAX SEEDS

In my last post, I showed you how to make your very own Almond Milk. Well, hopefully, you took my suggestion and saved the leftover Almond Pulp. This smoothie is so rich, smooth, nutty and sweet that you will almost forget that you’re nourishing your body. There is so much protein and good fat in this shake, it should keep you well satisfied until your next meal. I made my usual 16oz and realized it was so filling, I could only drink half of it. Please enjoy!

(All fruits are Organic/Non-GMO which I’ve prepared and frozen prior to blending. If your fruits are not frozen, you can use ice in your smoothie)
8 oz of Almond Milk (+ some filtered water if too thick)
1/4 Cup of Almond Pulp (or soaked Almonds)
1 frozen Banana
1/4 Cup Frozen Papaya chunks
1/4 Cup Frozen Mango chunks
1/4 Cup Dried Goji Berries
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil (unrefined)
1 scoop Vega Smoothie Powder (Viva Vanilla, Bodacious Berry or Tropical Tango)
1 tsp Maca Root Powder
1 Tbsp Chia Seed
1 Tbsp Flax Seed
1 small handful of Coconut Flakes

Add 8 oz of Almond Milk to your blender along with your frozen fruits and blend on “Crush Ice” setting until it sounds as if there is nothing being crushed anymore and then switch to “liquify” setting (about another 1-2 minutes). Add in the Dried Goji Berries, Chia Seeds, Flax Seeds, Coconut Oil, Maca Powder and Vega Protein. Blend (on liquify setting) one more time for another 1-2 minutes. If consistency is too thick, add a little filtered water and blend again. Pour into a large, tall glass. Garnish with Coconut Flakes and Dried Goji Berries (if desired). CLEAN UP BEFORE DRINKING (this reinforces good habits and a new regimen). Enjoy your smoothie w/ your favorite straw; although, for Earth’s sake, I recommend a glass one from Glass Dharma.
