I’ve Got the Biggest Bowls of them All!

ALMOND MILK, BANANA, MANGO, LIME JUICE, VEGA ONE (French Vanilla), MACA, CHIA SEED, FLAX MEAL, STRAWBERRIES, GRANOLA, BLUEBERRIES, POMEGRANATE AND COCONUT FLAKES

Yup, you heard me right…I’ve got big bowls; the biggest around. My bowls are so damn big you’re not really sure what to do with them. You can hold them in your two hands and revel in their gargantuan beauty. And then, if you muster up enough courage, you can grab a spoon and attempt to attack my big bowls with your huge appetite for bowls. (cough…cough…oops, another pun). Yes!!! I am talking about a Smoothie Bowl! This morning, I was HUNGRY. I felt like I wanted a substantial breakfast but I also wanted a Smoothie. I could of had both but then I remembered all these fancy photos my friends on Instagram have been posting of these elaborate Smoothie Bowls. So I decided to make one myself. And since my dread for the cold, New England weather is in full affect, I will make my protest known by making a Tropical inspired smoothie bowl. Banana, Mango, Lime and French Vanilla Vega One are a perfect combination for the foundation of the smoothie; very sweet but the Lime Juice offsets it nicely with a crisp, fresh zing! As I write this, I’ve actually made a huge dent in it. It’s amazing but very filling. In fact, I might even say you can share your big bowls with a loved one.

FOR SMOOTHIE
8 oz Almond Milk
1 Frozen Banana
1 Mango (cored and peeled)
Juice of 1/2 Lime
1 serving Vega One (French Vanilla)
1 tsp Maca Powder
1 Tbsp Chia Seed
1 Tbsp Flax Meal
4 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in blender. Blend on Crush Ice setting until cracking stops, then blend on liquify setting for about 1 min or until completely smooth. Pour into a big bowl.

TOPPING
4-5 Strawberries (halved)
1 small handful of Blueberries
1/4 Cup Pomegranate Seeds
1/2 Cup Granola
1 big pinch of Coconut Flakes

Arrange all ingredients on top of your smoothie (however it makes you happy). Eat with a spoon. Enjoy!
