Almond Milk, Apples, Rolled Oats, Vega One (French Vanilla), Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Chia Seed and Flax Seed
I’ve always been a huge fan of Apple Pie and since I have been taking it easy on desserts these days, I figured why not make a Smoothie instead. This smoothie can both tame your craving for the decadent treat and keep the doctor away at the same time. Apples are packed with fiber, vitamin C and heart healthy antioxidants; they are also great before a workout to help extend your energy and support weight loss. And aside from all of that good stuff, this is one of the easiest and quickest smoothies to make. Enjoy!
12 oz Almond Milk
3 Apples (any variety / cored)
1/2 Cup Rolled/Quick Oats
1 scoop of Vega One (French Vanilla)
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Flax Seeds
3-4 Ice Cubes
Pour Almond Milk into the blender along with the Apples and Ice Cubes. Blend on crush ice setting until cracking stops…then blend again on liquify setting for about 30-40 secs. Add in Oats, Vega One, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Chia and Flax Seeds. Blend on liquify for about 40 secs. If too thick, you can always adjust by adding more Almond Milk. Pour into a large, tall glass. CLEAN UP BEFORE DRINKING (this reenforces good habits and a new regimen). Enjoy!
